DIY Jar Lid Christmas Ornaments
Don’t you think handmade Christmas ornaments are the best? Learn how to make these simple DIY Jar Lid Christmas Ornaments to decorate your home :).
Christmas is almost here and I am yet to set up my tree as I shall anyway be going home for the holidays soon. But Istill couldn’t just not decorate my house at all and got a wonderful idea just as I was cleaning up the floor – DIY Jar Lid Christmas Ornaments from the ice cream jar lids lying around! Let’s get started !
Materials Required:
- Jar lids
- Brush pens / Calligraphy pens
Yes! These are all you need. But additionally, if your jar lids are not of a material that can be written on using brush pens, you may need to paste neat circular labels of white paper on the lids.
How to Make the DIY Jar Lid Christmas Ornaments:
Firstly, pick the designs you want to create on the ornaments. Now take a lid and keeping it neatly at a stable position, create the design using the brush pens or calligraphy pens. Not everyone is a calligrapher! Feel free to search for the handwritten merry&bright or handwritten joy ( or whichever is the word you want to write) on google images and it will throw open so many options to write them! Try these on a piece of paper in the size of the lid and once perfected, lightly make a carbon copy of it on the lid and write over with your brush pen.
You can add more details like flourishes and motifs to make the design look rich and Christmassy.
When you’re done, leave them out to dry. Once dry, you can use them to decorate your wall or tree or your desk/ dinner table just like I have done.
Additionally, you can add tags using ribbons or Washi tape if you need to hang them. Gifting Idea: Fill a jar or bottle with chocolates and use the DIY jar lid Christmas ornament to add a dash of Christmas cheer.
