Vondore website review : Indian artisan marketplace
Vondore : An online Marketplace of Indian artisans. If you are a handmade product lover or handmade goods crafter, do check this review on vondore website.
A little time everyday into crafting or home organising is a must for me. Many of us crafters also craft for sake of earning, many crafters who love taking up challenges make custom products and many make things for friends and relatives. No matter which category you belong to, if you are interested in a handmade business, Vondore.com is an exclusive Indian marketplace for handmade/custom products. I just checked out the website for you guys and here are my views.
About Vondore : Indian artisan marketplace
Vondore was created by Kriti & Raghav who came to the realisation that true-blue Indian designer and artisans don’t have any online community to showcase their talent. Hence, began the fascinating journey of Vondore. “A humble attempt that brings happiness closer to the world. We want to add a unique spin to the beauty of upmarket fashion sans the mass-market madness.”
What is Vondore ?
Vondore is a marketplace for buying and selling anything handmade, exclusively from India. Items could be anything from clothing, jewellery, shoes, handbags, home decor items etc. Here are my favorite picks from Vondore – aren’t they irresistably pretty?!

How to be a seller on Vondore ?
So if you are a crafter/artisan, Vondore could be your “favorite” marketplace. Vondore team has drafted a very clear seller policy which ensures that there is a hassle free transaction for every purchase and both seller & buyer is satisfied. Anybody can be a seller by registering on their website and further going through the “add shop” option. You need to give some basic details regarding the products and customization while setting up the shop which is editable at a later stage as well.
Your shop dashboard has many useful options that keeps a check on your business in a complete manner. There is a listing manager where you can see your products that are active, sold and in drafts. The Orders tab gives details of pending and completed orders. Payment for your product is cleared by Vondore on 10 days basis ( read seller policy for details) to the bank account details as mentioned in your shop profile.
Vondore : Indian artisan marketplace
The landing page of the website is a very catchy one with pinterest type tiled layout of product photographs. These are categorized as new products, new artists, trending products etc.
At the top of the page is an always visible categories menu :
- Clothing and accessories
- Jewelry
- Kind & babies
- Shoes & Handbags
- Home decor
You get directed to the dedicated categories page once you click the category menu of your choice.
There is a display of items in tiled layout with subcategory menu on the left side widget pane. Each item description can be found by clicking on the individual picture wherein you get redirected to a new page where product description along with shipping charges, time etc are also provided clearly by the seller.
If you like the product but want a similar one, you have a similar products widget at the bottom or else you can also choose to go the entire collection of product sold by the seller/shop.
What I liked about Vondore ?
- Its nice to know there is a dedicated online marketplace for handmade items. Also there is immense opportunity to stay in touch with the customer directly which is a very imperative part of handmade business yet give a global reach through the e-platform provided.
- 100% refund for the buyer in case of damaged products etc* – when it comes to anything handmade, the possibility of refund is very difficult and not many websites/crafters provide this option.
What I did not like about Vondore ?
- Lack of sort by price option is a major drawback because that’s the button not a single person misses while buying things online! Vondore team but is working towards a major web-layout overhaul and this option is also going to be available soon.
Other than that, Vondore is a pure bliss for handmade product lovers. From home decor to custom designed dresses and shoes, I definitely loved the place. Also the level of perfection and variety in the products available is something I got hooked on to! What are you waiting for? Do check out the Vondore marketplace and set up a sweet shop for yourself 🙂
