Handmade christmas card : make these gift box patterns & add them to make a colourful cheerful christmas card for this joyful season. Stepwise instruction.
Christmas is just little more than two months away and I definitely want to be ready with enough handmade Christmas cards for my friends and family. This is also my first year since i started making cards so I am a little nervous if they would all like my cards or not 🙁 I’l be sharing few of the handmade Christmas cards here on the blog as and when I get time.First on to feature is this super colorful chevron background handmade Christmas card with gift boxes.
Materials used to make handmade christmas card with gift boxes :
- Wplus 9 country charm stamps
- Mama elephant merry Christmas sentiments stamp
- satin ribbons
- neenah white cardstock (for base)
- fabriano colored cardstock for banner layer
- sequins from
- chevron pattern stencils from heidi swapp
- sketch pens and color pencils from faber castell
Procedure to make handmade christmas card with gift boxes :
This is a one layer card and I used neenah white cardstock for the white part ie the base. I first traced the chevron pattern with different shades of red available in sketch pen packet and then filled each of the gaps with different shades faber castell red & orange color pencils.
I cut out a red banner shape rather a wide vertical banner shape and pasted it across the corner. I stamped “merry Christmas” sentiments from mama elephants stamp set and heat embossed with white embossing powder from Zing.
I made the gift boxes by stamping the various square patterns from wplus9 country charm stampset and adding 1mm wide satin ribbons across for package.
Final touch by adding some gold and glittery sequins from **
Did you enjoy this handmade christmas card with gift boxes? I mass produced the gift boxes so will post another post to cover the other set of handmade christmas cards I made out of these box images 🙂
