How I made the altenew painted flowers thank you card

I recently bought the altenew painted flowers stampset and I totally adored all the project made by many others using the same stampset. But little did I know that it wasnt that an easy task! I had a little trouble trying to find the right alignment of each of the layers but once that was done the stamped image looked oh so lovely!

So first of all I have to admit that the combination of altenew painted flowers stampset and altenew purple shade crisp inkpad sets are the heros here. I watched a video shared by Altenew on youtube for aligning all the flowers and leaves in the altenew painted flower stampset which was very easy to follow and I’m sharing it right below :

So basically I started with stamping on my neenah white cardstock – the flowers first and the leaves later. The layout of flowers is to be honest our classic way of drawing border (ours as in mine and my sisters) for cards and first pages of books 😀 3 flowers, leaves and some flourishes along diagonal corners!

Each element has three layers of decreasing colors that are stamped. You need to select your shades as per that – the highest coverage layer ( 1st or the bottom layer) will be the lightest shade and the darkness of shade increases with decrease in area stamped in the image. I conveniently used the shades of purple & green sets of altenew crisp inkpad  and you can use any other shades if you have complementing inkpads.

Once the stamping of the images were done, I stamped my sentiment ” Thanks a bunch” again from altenew label love stampset with black versafine ink. I layered it with a piece of gold washi tape to bring in some emphasis on the sentiment.

The altenew painted flowers stamped cardstock layer went on top of my base card ( chose purple shade) and in the middle came the glitter washi with sentiments. While I cut the 1st layer cardstock, the sides were a bit misaligned and so I stuck it with a tilt on to the base card so that it was not noticeable.
