Every year for christmas, I sink in the work of making Christmas cards for friends and family that I get hardly anytime to craft. This is year was no exception in that matter but then again I have loads of ideas and I am going to keep my Christmas mojo going till end of January next year. Anyways, coming to today’s tutorial, its a very simple kids craft on how to make origami christmas trees. As kids, Christmas was always about decorating christmas trees and making nativity scenes. And I want this Christmas to be the same too- making Christmas trees with my daughter. My daughter is not old enough actually to try these Christmsa trees but I think I could try these this year and note down the tutorial with tips for her next Christmas! Okay lets start 🙂

Every year I have great plans for Christmas and something or the other comes up and we have an absolutely normal Christmas every single year. This year too I had so much plans but I have 3 shutdowns at my office before Christmas and I have my course exams at the end of the month 🙁 Its like the universe is conspiring against me and my Christmas crafting 😛 But here is a little merry making episode we had last week – we as in me and Grace 🙂 As somebody said, colors and paints are the best friends of kids – not sure if chocolates could be as well but still 😛 I might have bought more colors in form of paint boxes, cakes, crayons, pencil colors and what not for grace than chocolates! I love the fact that she loves coloring and in fact I sometimes get amazed by her creativity. The other day she had to paint a flower pot in her school book and she colored it with all colors line after line and she told me its her rainbow pot. She is a brilliant kid and I let her be when it comes to coloring.

My daughter wanted me to do something purposeful with all the craft supplies that I had been hoarding. And thats when the idea of a DIY Dollhouse for her occurred to me. Well another one more reason to shop for more pretty papers and accessories but I loved the idea and there I took a bit of time to add so much details into her DIY Dollhouse. I hope you like it and of course its just an inspiration to start off with making your own dollhouses. I never had one when I was young and I think even if you don’t have a baby yet, just make it for the sake of all the good old times when you wished you had one!
