Christmas is supposedly a very expensive season although everything you find is on sale. I generally purchase Christmas decor right after Christmas because that is when I reach home after my vacation and before that, I hardly get anything Christmassy in the market! So over the couple of years that we have made our home, I have collected loads of tree decoration items and I think my tree can’t withstand any more of the load 😛 This year, since my daughter has also grown up, we thought we should move more towards the religious side of the celebration instead of keeping it all Santa & Christmas trees. We call Christmas the Advent Season, running through 4 Sundays and culminates with Christmas that falls on the 25th of December. The advent candles, 4 of them, held within an advent wreath, is lit one by one every Sunday to remember and represent hope, peace, joy and love respectively. The tradition was started long back in Germany as a countdown to Christmas but later on has added so much value and tradition that it is an inevitable part of the celebration.
