I made several Christmas cards this time and I am quite proud of the neat outcome of my trials 😛 This is the first in the series that I am going to share and its a snowflakes Christmas card. If you are into cardmaking, I would love to get suggestions on Christmas stamps available in India. Maybe not this year but in next years haul, I would include those suggestions 🙂

Supplies used to make snowflakes christmas card :

How I made the snowflake christmas card :

The snowflakes stamp set is from Varnas Creation and they are the only known ( alteast to me!)  Indian brand of clear stamps other than Itsybitsy. Varshita (owner of varnas creations) being a crafter herself has put in a very useful and elegant set of layered snowflakes stamps. So here is how I made this snowfakes Christmas card :

Cut out the base card of 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8 ” ( yes I am too lazy to cut it out into A2 size :P) from the fabriano cardstock. For the blue layer, I cut out a piece from a random blue cardstock and dabbed it with mermaid lagoon ink with the help of sponge dauber. I dabbed a bit of ink of the dauber and made multiple impressions at random areas of the blue cardstock without reinking so that I got a varied intensities of color there.

For the snowflakes, the set had layers which could be matched for background and foreground of the snowflake. I used memento summer sky shade for the background stamp and archival aquamarine shade for the foreground stamp. I fussy cut all of them and glued them over the already prepared blue cardstock.

I had some white sequins that remotely resembled snowflakes ( bought looong back from local store) and I added them to fill in some gaps here and there.

Later stamped the sentiment from Merry stampset of mama elephant at the white portion of the card (which I intentionally left because my initial plans of heat embossing white sentiment over blue card was spoilt when my heat tool broke down!)

So that was it. Simple snowflakes christmas card! Sad that I have to wait till next christmas to use these pretty stamps again but they are definitely a must have stamp at really affordable rate.Hope you liked my version of snowflakes christmas card ! Wait for more Christmas cards 🙂

xoxo Angela
