  • Writing in addresses and that's my favourite part usually because that means the hardest part of making the cards is over. Not for this time though 😂 I had so many kind souls who dropped in comments on my birthday card post so I am jotting down all the address so in the envelopes for now with a note on birthdates. I will have to make cards every month so send them out he he 😁 As long as its sending happiness, I am all in for the hard efforts 😊 so what are your Sunday plans? I just got my supplies delivered from @itsybitsycraftstore so for me, it's going to be a DIY Sunday 😉 ( check my stories for the haul). And maybe a bit of gardening too if I still have time 😋 I need more than 24hrs a day ya.   • See something missing in the painting? After uploading I realised I forgot to add centers and twigs for the tiny yellow orange flowers 😂 happens Everytime I split my painting over many sessions. But still looks pretty right. Used my new Odyssey palette for this one and I am so overwhelmed with the amount of shades I have right now in prima 😍 I picked up a few plants from nursery yesterday so it's going to be a gardening weekend for me.   • Which is your favourite heart? Mine is the hot pink ones 😉 Valentine's day is fast approaching any plans yet? Gone are the days for cheesy Valentine's day plans..at least for me. For me, love is for everyday. Love is in everything - long drives, short drives midnight ice cream, our stupid fights, our major fights, watching TV together, cooking together..and the list goes on and on. But this year, I had decided that I want to make myself happy which means less of complaining and more of just doing what I want. I always end up taking out my office exhaustion once I get home, especially when I am late and I find out father daughter have been playing and have not done any homework! My resolution for this year has been to wake up early ( I did for a week and then it's gone!) , Give more priority on fitness ( hate it when office involves more physical work - I get too lazy to workout after coming home), and finally to spend more offline time with family. It is so difficult to get the change started but I think I am somewhere at least.   • Using silver and gold shades for the first time in my paintings. Can't decide if I overdid it this time but it surely looks pretty 😊 the first time I tried silver was after recieving beautiful handpainted floral card from @srivsank where she had used silver shades. I was so smitten , I have been wanting to use them in my paintings ever since.   • Tried something different in this painting. Any guesses? Usually I blend in multiple shades in petals when they are still wet so basically there is a seamless gradient of shades in all petals and leaves. This time I added patches after they were dry so there are like evident patches of different shades. I think I like it. Give a whole new dimension to my flowers I feel . Also I just got my new prima watercolors yaaaaay! Odyssey and woodland.   • I painted finally. And I realised what was wrong with the last painting. I used the wrong paper 😂 before I get into that, remember yesterday's handmade birthday card for each birthday month post ? I still have no friends born in March, April, June and August to send out cards to! Even if it's not your birthday, let me know if you have any friends to whom can send them out 😊 So now coming to the watercolors, I had by mistake used some random paper that looked like watercolor paper , but actually wasn't 100% cotton and so, the watercolor did not get soaked well and it was making puddles, colors not blending and what not! And I actually thought it's all because I hadn't done any watercolor if for a month n half! The point I want to make is, don't be like me and underestimate your talent. Don't ever give up because most likely, nothing is wrong with you, you might just be at the wrong place at the wrong time! P.s - my holy grail paper is Brustro 100% cotton cold pressed watercolor paper in 200gsm. I cannot stop recommending this paper because it really really cheap in India. Many international artists recommend arches watercolor paper and for me, it costs a bomb!   • I have been rather easy with my instagram account this year . Absolute not taking the pressure of having to satisfy followers or keep up with the numbers . Taking my own sweet time to balance everything other than "instagram" in my life. And actually I feel good. Thanks to @sincerelyyen 's post yesterday, it made me remember how happy painting watercolor wreaths made me. Before I dive into the next busy week of my life, and of course disappear from instagram 😄 I thought I will take out my colors and relax.
